Osteopathic treatment takes account of the WHOLE body. Some conditions require just localised manipulation. In many circumstances a broader approach is required to achieve a healing response and to reduce strain patterns.

Injury and Pain can present itself in a number of ways. Osteopathy can be an effective method of treating a multitude of patient complaints. Broadly speaking we see 3 types of condition:

Acute Injury – Symptoms or injury with a recent onset or trauma, often very painful and swollen. The sooner you undertake treatment, the faster you will recover and long time damage can be avoided.

Chronic Conditions and Postural Adaption –  Long term symptoms which might come and go or leave the patient with constant discomfort and pain. These conditions often stem from postural adaption from working posture or long term injury. These sometimes take a little longer to treat but when successful, it can be life changing for the patient.

Systemic Complaints – Patients will often be unaware of how underlying symptoms are affecting their body. These can present in many ways and with varying side effects. By helping to balance the body’s systems an improvement to the overall wellbeing of the patient can be achieved in many cases.
