James Bews Senior Osteopath

James Bews - Senior Osteopath and Lecturer

I have over 30yrs experience working in Injury Rehabilitation and Coaching. Having completed a 5yr B.Ost I am a fully registered Osteopath. I have multiple additional qualifications as part of my on-going medical and therapy education. More recently I have completed qualifications in advanced pitch side first aid in sport.

Since 2018 I have worked for the College of Osteopaths as a Senior Clinician and Lecturer on the Osteopathy Degree program at Staffordshire and Derby Universities. My areas of Special Interest are the treatment and management of Spinal Disc injury and Rehabilitation of Sports Injury.

I treat a wide range of people from all walks of life; 70% of my patients are just regular people with regular aches and pains. However, I also work closely with many sports people from Horse Riders, Rugby players & Footballers, Rowers & Athletes. Currently I am affiliated to Leek Rugby Club and act as their lead clinical support. 

Your treatment will be a blend of Osteopathic and Physiotherapy techniques. Acupuncture and K-Laser may also be used to enhance your treatment plan, although all treatment will be discussed and agreed first.

George began treating patients as a musculoskeletal therapist at a sports injury clinic in Manchester city centre, before graduating from the College of Osteopaths in 2022.

He works with all types of patient presentations from repetitive strain work related injury right through to Sports injury. He’s motivated to help people improve their quality of life, through reducing their pain and improving the mobility and function of their bodies.

HIs passion for Osteopathy was founded through his own love of sport, and after suffering from numerous injuries whilst playing Rugby, he found Osteopathic treatment to be effective in helping recovery. Since then, he has strived to have the same positive impact on people’s lives that Osteopathy had for him.

Faye Chatterley Osteopath

Faye has over 15 years’ experience in sport and exercise rehabilitation. In 2006 she gained a BSc First Class Hons degree in Sport Science. More recently she complete a 5yr BOst in Osteopathy from Staffordshire University in 2023.

With interest in the biomechanics of human movement, Faye is well versed in physical education, sports psychology and coaching of children and adults. Faye’s own love of dance, fitness and sport is was ultimately lead her to Osteopathy and the need for quality therapy. This personal knowledge of injury leaves her well placed to understand her patient’s needs.

Utilising a hands-on approach with exercise or functional rehabilitation to relieve pain and improve mobility, Faye aims to assist the body in its recovery. She is keen to promote each patient’s rehabilitation back into work, activities and hobbies.

In addition to her professional development, personal fitness continues to be Faye’s

passion. Enjoying weightlifting, aerial yoga and aerial dance classes, Faye is continually inspired by all facets of exercise and dance.
